I will bet 50,000 that no one will read this

Why Men Need Women (which by the way, in my opinion, they don't)

In a recent study, researchers Michael Dahl, Cristian Dezso and David Gaddis Ross examined what inspires wealthy men to become more generous (that is a rubbish topic to study). What they learnt was quite surprising (not really). Chief executives who had just become fathers are more likely to pay their employees less -- but this was only if these executives had had a son, not after having a daughter. Having daughters apparently soften fathers and make them more generous. Additional studies suggest that this extends beyond just daughters. Any female family member can motivate men to become goody two-shoes.

Okay I reached my 80 word limit set by Jon.
By the way I think this article is utter bullshit.

I'm actually doing my homework for once

Our English homework was to write a blog post about the presentation we are supposed to be making on the novels we have read during the holidays. I'll start with The Scarlet Letter. I see the main character Hester Prynne, as a heroine -- a woman who is headstrong and defiant in the face of injustice. If some extremely religious, puritanical person read this novel, they would probably see Hester as a whore who deserved to be stoned to death.

Then there's Metamorphosis -- a story about a man who wakes up one day as a giant bug. I personally think the giant bug thing is about a person who is alienated from society. Soooo... I don't know. I could see this interpreted as racism if read by someone who has gone through it first-hand.

The Picture of Dorian Gray is... very homoerotic. I quite enjoyed it actually. When it was published during the Victorian era, it was thoroughly censored. I didn't even notice all the double-entendres but I guess the Victorians did.

First English Class

So on Friday we had our first english class with Jon and during that lesson we talked about our GCSEs and stuff. And I couldn't care less. Sorry Jon. So then we started to talk about summary writing which was less than exciting. Our class was so crowded. Remember my 'write-up' for 9JD? Yeah, I still hate everyone with the burning intensity of a thousand suns. What was I supposed to write about? So... the summary of our first english class; Jon talking quite a bit and then some summary writing.
